SUPPLY LIST  

  • Sewing machine with adjustable zigzag or blind hem stitch

  • Size 60/8 Sharps sewing machine needles

  • Open toe embroidery foot

  • Glue stick - water soluble

  • Small straight pins

  • Monofilament thread (.004mm) Clear for light fabrics and/or smoke for medium to dark fabrics

  • Extra bobbins

  • 50 or 60 wt. cotton thread to match the background fabric. (Little pokey bobbin threads are not as visible on the surface if the bobbin thread matches the background fabric.)

  • Paper scissors

  • Fabric scissors

  • Fabric marker

  • Ruler – 18”-24” in length

  • Optional: travel iron, ironing pad, extension table for your machine

    Fabric for Iris
  • Assorted scraps for flower pieces. Sample is made with 3 different fabrics, minimum size 6" x 6" square
  • Small scrap of yellow for Iris center
  • Fat quarter for leaves and stem
  • 1 - 12" x 12" square for block background
  • Optional: Fat quarter or ¼ yard for corner triangles
